Wow – it’s hard to believe that we’re celebrating 19 years in business. Time flies when you’re having fun – and boy do we know how to have fun.
As we reflect over almost two decades of hard work and success, we can’t help but feel a sense of pride as we think about all the good work we’ve done to help our tech company friends build awareness, thought leadership and create attention-grabbing positioning and messaging.
Sure, we’ve had challenges and missteps along the way but, for the most part, it has been a great run (stay tuned for more to come). Looking back, it’s our deep dedication and service to our clients, industry knowledge and results-focused approach that has helped us succeed. Our unique high-level approach to messaging has also helped us position many clients as market drivers in their industries.
Looking back over the past year in particular, it has been really exciting to see Strategic Narrative Marketing rise as a reputable framework for establishing market leadership through category building. It has been so well-received by our clients and the industry at large, that we officially launched our ‘Narrative Practice,’ — a full service, dedicated offering around Strategic Narrative Marketing that helps companies lead and win markets by creating or reviving an industry category or framework.
Some of our other big accomplishments this year include:
•We expanded our reach to more of the C-level by becoming a Forbes contributor.
•The continued success of its book, “A Practical Guide to Strategic Narrative Marketing” available on Amazon.
•The Strategic Narrative Messaging assessment, a free tool Catapult launched to offer a personalized messaging analysis for business leaders who are curious where their current messaging stands.
•The formal launch of ‘Narrative Practice,’ – Catapult’s new service offering that is centered around the Strategic Narrative Marketing approach.
As Strategic Narrative Marketing became an increasing part of our business offering this year, we took the opportunity to do some self-reflection about who we are, what we stand for, and what the future looks like for Catapult as we head toward two decades of business success.
We can truly say that we offer something unique through our ‘Narrative Practice.’ Sure, we’re a PR firm at our core, but now we offer something different and more strategic and high-level than a traditional PR firm. We believe the PR industry has needed something like this for a while, and we think our peers can benefit from Strategic Narrative Marketing as well.
This higher-level approach elevates PR to a much more strategic role, and we’re excited to go into another year leading the charge with this type of positioning and messaging. Interestingly, we’ve found that CEOs are often the most invested in category and framework building. They see the big picture benefit – it differentiates their companies, creates strong (100 percent unique) positioning, and aligns all teams around a common cause.
We have some further service extensions coming for our Strategic Narrative Marketing approach that we are working on and hope to launch in the coming months. We are finding how wide and deep this type of initiative grows within organizations. It truly is a game-changer on a multitude of scales.
We’re eager to see how Strategic Narrative Marketing continues to influence Catapult, but we’re probably most excited to help more companies create really powerful, market-driving messaging. As we look ahead, there’s a lot to do – from continuing to provide excellent PR, to growing our ‘Narrative Practice’ service offering.
Do you have a favorite memory with Catapult? We’d love to hear it!
